I enjoyed this expanse on the dark forces world! The Icarus squad infiltrates a small town of Bane Falls, where our MMC, Roman, runs into our female FMC, Briar, as they work to uncover the gate to the under world. Some of the intimate scenes were umm…interesting (and not for me), but did not ruin the story for me. Upon the conclusion of the book, we encounter a man with a cane and slight limp. I think I know who that is!!! A great ending to the story and just what it needed to bump this up to a solid four stars! ⭐️
