⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ such a sweet romance with genuinely great characters. i really appreciated that the side characters felt fully developed instead of just existing to push the main couple forward. the tension and yearning between colt and blaire were done so well, and their chemistry felt natural the entire time. i’m usually not a huge fan of second chance romance, but this one completely worked for me. you could really feel the history between them, which made all of their interactions hit even harder. my only real gripe is that i personally think they hooked up a little too early. the buildup and longing were so good that once they finally got together around the 65% mark, the story started leaning a lot more into the physical side of their relationship. i just would’ve loved a little more focus on the emotional romance between them in the final stretch but overall, a really solid cowboy romance and just what i needed to help a reading slump! 🩷
