Daisy Jones is everything and nothing that I expected it to be. I did not know it was interview-style until I read the first page. I did not expect it to be a forbidden love story. I expected more rock and roll, more of a fictional memoir (like Motley Crue’s “The Dirt”) but rock and roll wasn’t everything the book was about. It was built around that. There’s been so many books I’ve read that have been compared to “Daisy Jones”, but this is nothing like any other book I’ve read. And yet, somehow, at the end TJR managed to throw a curveball twist I didn’t see coming right at me. She gets you so nose deep in the story, so hungry for the next page, that the twist truly hits you out of nowhere! I don’t know how she does it. She really is starting to become one of my favorite authors, as clichè as that is.
