This was NOT a cozy feel good little MM Romance like I thought it would be. I stayed up late two nights in a row to finish this book, THAT is how hooked I was. This was gut-wrenching and had me reading with tears in my eyes one moment to having me giggling and kicking my feet another moment later. The spice was chef's kiss, but the character development is what sealed it for me. I don't usually do the "step-brother trope", it's not really my thing, but to me this was well-written and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I've never read or heard of Nyla K before this book, but I will definitely be checking out their other books now!
