October pick for The Morbidly Curious Book Club I will echo the sentiments of fellow reviewers and friends from book club: reading this book truly felt like sitting down with an old friend over coffee. As someone who has always been fascinated by the paranormal and the possibilities of what lies beyond, I loved reading Adam's thoughtful and respectful approach. Going in, I was aware that this would be a memoir—especially after reading Amy Bruni's book last year, which shares a similar style. ( I think both of these books work together beautifully and offer insight to both of their journeys, together and separate!) If you enjoyed this one, I would recommend checking out Amy's book- "Life with the afterlife" I wonder if people knew going into this book that it would be a memoir and less of a traditional"guide" if they would have connected with it more. Goodbye Hello is beautifully written and so much more than "ghost stories". It delves into life, loss, fear, and death, which we all shy away from, but it's delivered with grace. It makes you stop and think, and maybe even shift your perspective a little bit.
