i would have been obsessed with this book if i read it as a kid. i’m just as obsessed reading it as an adult. the writing style is so excellent; it drags you in and makes you feel emotions for the main character, amber young.you follow her throughout her life; a typical rough adolescence, being discovered at a talent show, her rise to fame, her first love, best friend drama, heartbreak, and her career taking off. everything she goes through is so relatable, even though her lifestyle is so unrelatable. i would read anything that isabel banta writes going forward as this was her debut novel (please write another, im begging)
