In Five Years

Nearly cried reading this book. Emotional roller coaster of a book. The main character Dannie is a meticulous by the book girl, she plans everything out to the minute. She knows her boyfriend David is going to propose to her. On the night after the proposal, Dannie falls asleep for an hour and sees a glimpse into her future. 5 years from now she wakes up in someone else’s bed, with someone she doesn’t recognize. It’s not the five year plan she envisioned, and this dream lingers with her for the next few years. She postpones her wedding with David, the thought of what’s lingering in the future always in the back of her mind. Five years later, she finds out who he is and the significance he has in her life, and everything she’s done to plan could not stop the outcome that the universe had set for her. A book about serendipity, love, grief and simply life.
