Midas Court

I did not expect to be this invested in a 53 page novella! That's what Crowne's writing does..it sucks you in, becoming part of the story, getting attached to the characters..I could have read a 300 page book about Jen, James, and Leon. I also love the bit of humor from James even in the middle of questioning his sanity. There are a few things as creepy as a child staring behind your head in terror making you question what's really in the apartment with you that you cannot see.. This was beautiful, haunting, and arm-hair raising. A perfect horror novella for a rainy over-cast day. (The way I read it, and contributed to the ambience!)
