My Husband's Wife

this book made absolutely no sense to me. it started off decent and i was interested to see where it would go but by 50% in i could see it was going nowhere. it felt like the author was trying so hard to cram in twist after twist that none of them actually landed. each reveal was somehow more far-fetched than the last, and i spent most of the book rolling my eyes instead of being shocked. we’re literally in the husband’s head at one point, but he doesn’t recognize his own wife? come on. i don’t believe that in his own inner thoughts he doesn’t give anything away. the characters were all unlikeable, the excessive sexual encounters added nothing to the story and completely took me out when they happened, and the ending was both unsatisfying and kind of silly. overall, this was a confusing thriller that relied on unbelievable twists instead of a strong plot, and it just didn’t work for me.
