is negative 8 stars possible? this needed five more rounds of editing and a lot of work. the MMC gave me the ick the entire book. what do you mean you’re supposed to be this tough enforcer guy but your gaga over our FMC the minute you meet?? enemies to lovers is not accurate for this book. i don’t know how else to say that i despised this book ☠️ it took WAY to much inspiration from other books and tried to have 20 different tropes rolled into one. updating 12/25/25 after thinking some more, i have additional notes: - some of the banter/tension was ok but most of it was corny - the writing felt juvenile - i haven’t even read the hunger games but those were the vibes i had the entire book - the use of the phrase “Plagues” for EVERYTHING was SO annoying omg!!! i never want to see that word again - the amount of times Paedyn talks about the similarities between the king and Kitt was insane. we get it, they’re similar - i actually got so sick of Paedyn by the end.
