4.5/5 stars This book started off a bit slow, a bit clichè using Audrey Hepburn as a guest at the party. Worth pushing through, for the writing style & tears cried at the end alone. Based on the question “what five people, living or dead, would you invite to a dinner party if you had the chance?” Sabrina writes her list out in college with her best friend, but she tweaks it a bit over the years. She meets a boy,Tobias, at a photo exhibit in Cali while still in college & knows he’s the one for her. She doesn’t get his name, but seeks him out anyway. Years later, across the country, she meets him again on a subway stuck underground. She decides that its fate, she’s meant to be with this boy & she always knew he was the one for her. However, their lifestyles are so different that they are always clashing. Their jobs spread them apart. Written from two POV; one being the dinner party from her list and her life with Tobias. They both love each other but they’re not good for each other, and they both don’t want to admit it. Relatable, sad, grief filled love story that literally had me sobbing throughout the last chapter.
