This was my first Hilderbrand novel and I really liked her writing style, especially for an easy summer read. The story of 5 women (plus one daughter) who celebrate their friendship, while all of their lives are falling apart to some degree. I do feel like this book was written for someone in their 40s-50s and that the story could have been condensed to 100 pages shorter. There were many parts that felt too slow or like filler, especially since there were lots of interesting plot points to move through. Even though it wasn’t my personal favorite, I’ll definitely be reading another Hilderbrand next summer.
