4.5/5 ⭐️ I really thought I had this book figured out until the last few pages! The twists really got me! Dr Moore is a psychologist for killers. When one of her patients dies in a murder/suicide with his wife, she feels immense guilt. She should have seen the signs. At the same time, a serial killer is on the loose- the Bloody Heart killer. A young boy steps forward- saying he was released by the BH killer and blames his high school science teacher. Robert Kavin is a lawyer, and approaches Dr Moore to do a psychological profile for the suspect. He lost his son to the BHK and wants to represent the suspect being accused because he believes he is innocent. The writing is straight to the point and quick paced. Chapters are short. Overall, I really enjoyed this book as a palette cleanser.
