I really did not enjoy this book. I’ve read a few other books by Lisa Jewell that I loved; this was not one of them. The plot dragged on; the main character (a middle aged man) was problematic and unlikable. He’s on wife #3, each time he leaves his wife he cheats on her and starts a new family. His new wife, Maya, is lucky #3. She jumps in front of a bus at the start of the novel, and the grief and “why” lingers throughout the entire book. For me, it’s unrelatable which is probably why i disliked it so much. Also, the main character is described so blandly and boring, you don’t even want to root for him. Could not wait to put this book down (sorry Lisa Jewell)
