The Unclaimed: Abandonment and Hope in the City of Angels

Narrative non-fiction following the stories of 4 Los Angeles deceased residents whose bodies have become "unclaimed". I would have preferred to follow each individuals story all at once rather than dispersed throughout the book. Any one of us could become "unclaimed" in death. This also sheds more light on how corrupt and how much of a money-grab the American funeral industry can be. Very interesting and thought provoking. Disclaimer, I heavily skimmed the chapters discussing baby/infant deaths.
