Probably a super unpopular opinion given most of the reviews under this book but I genuinely do not understand the 3-5 star reviews. Did we read the same book? I rarely rate books negatively but I can't even get past chapter 5 of this one.. I gave it to about 25% but by the end of chapter two I was already taking this (and the three other books) off of my booklist for 2021. This is a book that should have been on Wattpad and stayed there, in my opinion. The writing style is very young adult (like a 16 year old wrote it) and the characters are awful. How could anyone read this and love it?? 'Vicious' is possibly the worst main character I've ever read. He's rude, demeaning, and not even remotely charming. I truly do not see what all the 5 star reviews see. I really tried to give it a chance and keep an open mind but this book made ME feel like I was the one being degraded. I love enemies to lovers tropes and the bad boy only loves the good girl but this just took it to a new level, he has quite literally no redeeming qualities and just made me annoyed. Also 'Help'???? Every time I read that "pet name" I wanted to vomit, she should have ran far away and never looked back. Maybe in the future I'll give another try to another story by the author but this put a bad taste in my mouth.
