This was my first Freida book and although I didn’t love it, I didn’t hate it either. Amy Brenner is a med student who has to work an overnight shift at Ward D- the psych unit. There’s a backstory- the last time she was here was to visit her ex-best friend Jade who had a psychotic break. There’s a dangerous patient in Seclusion and all of the other patients tell Amy that they’re afraid he’s going to get loose & kill them all. Weird stuff keeps happening, but Amy doesn’t know if she can trust herself. A few good twists at the end but they weren’t shocking. The writing style is simple and straight to the point, not too much fluff. Good quick read, I breezed through it.
